Can two walk together except they be agreed? Amos 3:3. This question posed by Amos the prophet many centuries ago has for many religious persons of this day precluded any consideration of anyone not in agreement on doctrine from continuing together. Near the turn of the last century God ordained a man named William Sowders to build again that which has been torn down. To accomplish this God gave this man an understanding, derived from the scripture. He instructed Brother Sowders to gather the people of God together, especially His Ministers, which had been scattered into many fragmented elements and have them earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints, Jude 1:3. The reason this was needful is explained in the following verse, Jude 1:4, where we learn that certain men who were ordained to be vessels of dishonor, Second Timothy 2:20, were ordained to the condemnation of sowing discord among the brethren, Proverbs 6:16-9. The Church, that was not yet even a hundred years old, had already been divided, as was prophesied by the Apostle Paul in, Acts 20:29. This was in fact the great apostasy foretold in, Second Thessalonians 3:3. Added to this we have nineteen more centuries of added apostasy in doctrine, order, standards, and the traditions of men. As in the illustrative story found in, Genesis 11:-9, God had indeed confused their ability to communicate, Second Thessalonians 2:7-2. This God did for the purpose of allowing those who did not want the truth, who loved iniquity, and who did not want to retain God in their knowledge, Romans 1:18-32, to judge themselves unto total condemnation.
Our great God, who’s mercy is everlasting, and who’s truth endures forever, Psalms 100:5, has in these last days ordained that there be a restoration ministry that will come together, and stay together, forbearing one another in love, in the unity of the Spirit, in the bonds of peace, Ephesians 4:1-15, and contend for the faith that was once delivered unto the saints and produced overcomers during the first century, and that will again produce overcomers in this last century. There will be a chaste virgin Church for the Lord to receive as His Bride at his next coming. The bride will have made herself ready, Revelation 19:8, by the washing of the water of the word, Ephesians 5:26, given by the true ministry of God who has stayed together, forbearing one another in love, until they have apprehended that for which they were apprehended, Philippians 3:12, which is the presenting of a chaste virgin to Jesus Christ at His appearing, Second Corinthians 11:2, Second Timothy 4:8. The crown, Philippians 4:1, which is the Church is what the ministry is travailing to bring forth, Galatians 4:19, perfect, without spot, wrinkle, or blemish, Ephesians 5:27.
